Just starting up a thread for chat/thoughts about this weekend's Xena convention. Not having been to any in 7 years or so, I really rally enjoyed it a lot.
A great weekend, the highlight being Lucy Lawless' concert on Saturday night. The energy was just amazing and Lucy is a great performer. I have a load of
photos and will be doing a con report for the website. Do post your thoughts here.

Hey gang. We finally managed to log back into this thing.
Absolutely LOVED the convention - it got me all excited to watch Xena again! Lucy was super fab and it was nice to see that there was only a smattering of super nutty types lurking around! Can't believe that meeting Lucy would turn me into a gibbering wreck! Love T and E

Wow, hello strangers! I'm keen to know how Lucy's Sunday concert was and if you enjoyed it.
I have spent today doing my con report and sorting photos. Most of mine didn't come out great. Compact digitals aren't much use for flash photography if the subject is more than about 10 feet away. Just back home - what a weekend! Lucy is amazing. Went to the concert on Sunday night, the atmosphere was electric and Lucy rocked. I cant describe how good
it was and how much I enjoyed it. Fair play to the Italian girls
Lucy is an absolute star.

what a great weekend!! first of all a mondo thanks and bow to cathy for giving me the chance to watch the whole of the lucy session and not have to do a runner halfway through
i have memories i will never forget both good and other lol all i'm saying is dancing fingers also a big thanks and hugs to the tarts, jules and lesley for the great cat a la cart on sat hmmm lovely, had a fab night even if jules was pulling right left and centre heh heh did get a shoddy voice record of half of the lucy chat, just to prove i was actually in the same room as thee sooooooooooo glad i got me butt in gear to get to this and to everyone for making it great!!!

Yep, got it up now. Good report, Cathy. First reaction.....was that really Brunhilda?!? .....blimey, I didn't think gaining a few pounds could render you
totally unrecognisable!
And bad news about the Merchandise....I was pinning my hopes on Dave(Thanagarian) picking up a couple of things from Creation for me....sounds like he may not have been able to. 
Assuming there'll be an official dvd of both the Con and the concert? Will have to get those.....if only to spot all of you lot in the crowd!
Gotta say, a personal chat with SS would have been the highlight for me. With all due respect to the actors, for me it's always been SS, RJ and Rob who have the most interesting insights into the show and so am profoundly jealous!! You didn't get to chat to Joe LoDuca then? That would have been the icing on the cake! Anyway, sounds like everyone had a great time....I daresay Dave will be phoning soon with a even more detailed account...........Dave?

I was most annoyed with myself that I forgot to take a decent photo of Lucy to get her to sign and had to buy one, but worse, I wanted to get Joe LoDuca to
sign my Xena CDs and forgot to take them...darn! I asked him a question in the Q&A and asked about his guitar playing when getting his autograph but no, he
didn't go the the parties so didn't chat to him.

Well....got my Bloopers dvd and Chakram keyring.....cheers, Dave!
But no Convention OR concert DVDs!!!! Dave reckons the only time he saw any cameras were for Lucy's Q&A....nowhere else at the con and not at the concert either.....what a wasted opportunity....it would have been a great souvenir for those who went.....and for those who couldn't make it!

Nice to meet up with friends to I have meet so many though xena over the years the show has indeed gone beyond what it orginally was.
Shame from the sounds of it the concert won't be on dvd a lost money maker for creation .. not like them ( oops) |

Whatever always nice to see a new name on the 'ville....are you a pop-in-and-say-hello-and-never-be-heard-of-again type of a guy/gal, or can we look forward to many contributions from you in the future? Hope it's the latter.
