As a longtime Joss Whedon fan I was keen to see what this show would be like, despite the negative buzz that's been around. I have to say, I was
underwhelmed. To me the whole concept, while it sounds cool, just seems illogical. Why would anyone go to the time, trouble and expense of creating a place
where a bunch of youngsters could get reprogrammed so (presumably) rich people pay for them. Why would you want a reprogrammed hostage nogotiator instead of a
real one? It's also going to be hard to get to know Eliza Dushku's character when she is someone different each week and her Echo personality is an
empty vessel. On the plus side, it looked pretty cool, the cast is good, but I missed the Whedon dialogue and humour.
On a related tv note, Sarah Connor Chronicles, one of my favourite shows returned, although this second season has been much patchier than the first IMO. Battlestar Galactica was AWESOME! So much exposition and Cylon history. The last few eps have been excellent.
